The story behind the name Sycamore
Sycamore Coffee officially began in 2024. In 2017, Aaron Menke found himself working at a coffee shop in Tomball, Texas. During one of his breaks, he sat beneath a sycamore tree and struggled to make sense of the trials of life. He decided to open his Bible and began reading the book of James. In that moment, he was reminded that God uses life’s trials for good—shaping and preparing us for His purpose. That promise stayed with him.
In 2022, Aaron stepped back into the coffee world, taking a management position at Hebrews Coffee. Though uncertain at first why God had led him back, he soon realized the answer. Through that role, he found the kind of community he had long been praying for.
Two years later, in 2024, Hebrews Coffee closed its doors—but not for long. Aaron asked his former employer if he could purchase the equipment and continue the shop as his own. One week after Hebrews closed, he reopened it as Sycamore Coffee with the support of beloved friends and the community.

Never had such a nice coffee shop right by my home never know lol we tried so many different coffees and things over there. Everything was delicious, Coffee shop is kind of small but neat and clean organized and beautiful. The staff was very professional friendly. I like this place and will definitely return back with my family
I can't say enough good things about this place. The coffee and food were awesome and stand on their own. What makes this place hands down the BEST coffee shop, the staff and ambiance. It would basically be impossible for you to leave and not feel uplifted in some way.
Excellent customer service, come to Hebrews and you will have always a good experience. Everyone is really nice, they got a really friendly atmosphere with kids playground but also private rooms and more quiet areas.
